In today’s world you cannot be just a director, an educator or a critic; today, you have to be able to secure a budget for your production; to plan a European tour; to get yourself invited to festivals; to make the course you teach part of a bigger cultural program – today, whatever you do in art, you have to be a producer. I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to realize my producing ambitions not just by producing my own, or even other people’s shows, but by about everything I do – planning the students’ curricula and inviting guest-teachers, for example.
